Its a sorry day….

Well, as you may have noticed, the blog hasn’t been very active lately… 1st off I had issues with my gaming machine.. i could still play Lotro, but with no video card, i couldn’t record… the second reason is, I just do not play Lotro anymore. I bought this game back in 2007, and i have paid to play this game all the way up to free to play.. and im sorry to say, that this game is totally different now, than it was pre-f2p. I have stuck with it for a while now because it was Middle-Earth.. I had the opportunity to be a citizen of the world i loved so much.

I was very upset to find out when i logged into the game my 1st week, that Rohan wasnt even in the game yet.. I LOVE Rohan, if i lived in middle-earth.. i would be in Rohan.. And im sad to say that ROHAN, Was the straw that broke the camels back.. Mounted combat has not lived up to what the hype promised.. 1/2 the player base has rubberbanding issues, lag issues.. and now we learn that they have no plans to continue adding new stuff when it comes to Mounted Combat.. i shouldn’t be surprised, they kept as much information as possible from us during development, It’s almost like they knew it was going to be FAIL..

So until Turbine starts fixing the broken shit in game, im done supporting it… This blog will no longer be updated from the time i post this, My YouTube channel will no longer be updated anymore either.. everything I have posted will remain available but no new content will be released… I dropped 70bux for Rohan, 15bux for a subscription, 200$ to upgrade my pc to 64 bit system, I had to purchase a copy of Windows 7 (64 Bit) to stop the memory leak, crashes… Thats close to 500$ I have spent to be able to play this game since ROHAN launched… not to mention all the money i have spent previously.. for that amount of money, i feel its not to much to ask for a stable game to play.. that doesnt lag, or have broken features.

Im sorry that it has to be this way.. because I really do love Lord Of The Rings online… but its not worth throwing money at anymore, and i cant see supporting it with my blog/youtube channel anymore, either…The game is boring now unless you spend money in the store, and even if your VIP its still just as boring, unless you spend even more money in the store… Thanks Turbine for ruining the game i loved to play!

If your interested in keeping in touch with me, and interested in seeing what new projects I will be taking on in the future, please follow me on Twitter @MiddleErthChron. This will be the only thing that survives from my LOTRO days.. and will be my outlet to spread the word of future projects I take on.

See you in game! (Just not Lotro)

  1. 1. Is your video card fixed?
    2. Consider patching up for U10 and seeing if anything improves. It did seem a bit more stable when I was on BR, but that could just be load and the lack of all the extra-character data from my live character
    3. Consider poping in from time to time to say high and hang out with your kin. You dont have to run anything to chat.

    Best wishes!

Thanks for the well wishes Crell… Im really hoping that Turbine will turn it around.. Its not just MC and Rohan issues that have pushed me away, like i said, its just the straw that broke the camels back.. im not going into details… but I will pop in from time to time for sure, especially after updates, in HOPES that things get better.. I just wont be supporting the game via the blog or Youtube channel anymore..
