…But goblins wont be what we are Hunting in this episode, we will be hunting Wargs & Worms!

Warg Slayer 100/200

Where there are goblins, there are Wargs, and the Misty Mountains are no exception. Tempered by the deadly cold and harsh conditions, these Wargs have become particularly vicious and deadly, but you’ve found them to be passable opponents at best. Still it is best to be wary, for a pack of the beasts could tear even a stalwart hero apart. (LotroWiki)

Worm Slayer 100/200

It is said that worms have long lived in the far north, among the desolate and frozen wastes. Alas, it seems only natural then that, as the gates of Angmar have been laid open, they should have unleashed many of the creatures into the frozen peaks of the Misty Mountains. You have succeeded in winnowing their numbers some, but it seems that the pens of Angmar are inexhaustible — or the creates have begun to breed here in the mountains. That is an unsettling thought. (LotroWiki)

Lotro! Flashback Friday! …Angry Hobbit Lass! #FBF

Back in November of 2013, Turbine answered the call of many angry Hobbit females, and changed the female hobbit walk animation. I remember I was at work and my Twitter started blowing up.. People complaining that the new animation was horrible! I was looking forward to going home and checking this out for myself, When I was finally able to login and make a female Hobbit, I get into game, press the auto-walk key, and instantly a song came to mind…

So I Just had to make a video to express my thoughts, and share the song that came to me…

They changed it back, and I don’t know if they made a new one or not.. let me know in the comments if they did, and how it went! …Happy Friday Everyone! Have a Safe Weekend!!

Lotro: Misty Mountains Slayer Deed Guide, Episode 2, Beast-hunter!

Welcome back explorers, Todays adventure takes us high into the North-Western Misty Mountains, to hunt down a bunch of Snow-Beasts. In this video we also run across Gloin, Gimli’s Father, he and the other dwarves of the Misty Mountains will have tasks for the level appropriate adventurer. But enough chat for now, lets jump into the video..

The Snow-beasts that inhabit the Misty Mountains are odd creatures. You’d only heard vague tales of them before you came here, and most people would consider them myths, but you’ve fought enough of them to be quite sure they are real. Where they may have come, though, you cannot say, unless they are some distant relative of the trolls. You have learned no more about the origins of these strange creatures than the day you first encountered one. They are savage brutes, however, and they share no love of the Free Peoples of Middle-earth — or anyone else, from all you have seen. Fortunately, they can be defeated much like any other dangerous beast, and you have fought your share and lived to tell the tale.

Lotro: Misty Mountains Slayer Deed Guide, Episode 1, Giants & Trolls & Bears, Oh! My!

MMintrooutro

As the poem goes.. Far over the misty mountains grim, To dungeons deep and caverns dim, We must away, ere break of day, To win our harps and Lotro Points from him! …The 1st episode of the Misty Mountains Slayer Deed Guide is here! In this episode we hunt down Giants, Trolls & Bears, 3 Deeds at once. This grind is intended for a small fellowship (Unless you are over leveled) Trolls & Giants are all elite level mobs, and are packed pretty tight in some places. You also have to keep an eye out for Roving Threats, level 100+ Boss Level mobs that appear in random places. You can also find rare spawns that drop shards easily in the Misty Mountains, When a white out blizzard appears, that means that a rare spawn creature is close by, if you are a hunter you can track these mobs, if not.. well, good luck..

Troll Slayer, Tier 1: 50 Kills, Tier 2: 100 Kills

As if the biting cold in the Misty Mountains wasn’t bad enough, it seems to have given rise to a particularly unpleasant breed of troll. These creatures thrive in the ice and frost, and they lurk here waiting to crush and devour any traveller unlucky enough to cross their paths. Your own prowess has served to protect you from them thus far, and you have made a fair tally against the monster. If only that were the end of it …With a cruelty as cold and sharp as the ice that coats teh peaks and ridges of the Misty Mountains, the trolls here have striven to destroy you and your companions — but in this aim, they have failed, and you have proven yourself their match and more. Yet they do not cower from you, for their hearts are frozen, and death holds no fear for these brutes, no matter how swiftly you deal it out.

Bear Slayer, Tier 1: 80 Kills, Tier 2: 160 Kills

You have heard that the giants sometimes breed the largest bears as pets – and that would not surprise you. They grow them big here in the Misty Mountains – really big. You have never seen bears this large or aggressive before. Those rumours you had heard about the giants raising them as pets must have been true, for no other explanation makes sense. Nevertheless, you have taught the beasts to respect your prowess — though it has not improved their attitude towards you one bit.

Giant Slayer, Tier 1: 50 Kills, Tier 2: 100 Kills

You had thought these great creatures must be legend and myth when you were told stories of them by your parents. Not anymore. Their strength is as great as their size, and their bravery that of a creature that knows it is unmatched. Nevertheless, your valour has brought down a fair number of these foes, despite their immensity. Since you first laid eyes upon these huge creatures as they stepped towards you through the driving snow, you have become something of an old hand at fighting them. Their size can be used against them, and their brains have definitely given way to brawn. Nevertheless, you know that the day you become careless or complacent is the day you will find yourself being pounded feet-first into a frozen grave.

Lotro: Evendim Slayer Deed Guide, Episode 5! Goblin Slayer!

The final episode of The Evendim Slayer Deed guide is here. In this episode I show you the best place to grind out your Goblin Slayer Deed! This is a painful deed, due to the traveling you must do! But I will let Elahndria show you around! Stay Tuned, the next region I will be covering is The Misty Mountains!

The scourge of the goblins appears to be everywhere these days, even on the borders of the Shire itself. Rumour has it that in Evendim, a new breed of the foul creatures can be found in the odd-looking Boggarts — cowardly sniveling things that hunt in packs to bring down their prey. It seems that the goblins in southern Evendim have not yet come in great numbers; perhaps they are only here to harry the folk of the Shire and distract the Rangers from more important goals elsewhere. Nonetheless, the goblins use deep tunnels to move about beneath the sight of the keenest-eyed scout, so they can come forth suddenly in great numbers to wreak havoc upon the unprepared. ( https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Goblin-slayer_(Evendim) )

There is little pride to be had in the defeat of the goblins — they are hardly suitable opponents — yet many a brave warrior has been overwhelmed by their numbers or cunning devices of war, so it is best not to underestimate them. You have taken a great toll upon the goblins in Evendim, but at times it seems like a futile gesture, given the rate at which they replenish their numbers. Only an army could hope to inflict lasting harm on their forces. ( https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Goblin-slayer_(Advanced)_(Evendim) )

Lotro: Flash Back Friday! Into The Wild

flashback-friday

Flash Back Friday is a new category here at the blog, where I showcase some of the older videos I have made, some go as far back as 2007. I will do my best to get one out every week, but we will see how it goes.

Open-mouthed smile …anyway.

These two videos were recorded back in 2012. Its part of the “Into The Wild” video series, A general exploration of Middle-earth, including some helpful information. It could be a reputation grind, a trophy hunt, repeatable quests, just about anything. In these two videos I show you what to expect when doing the Bree-land Daily Quests. Im pretty sure the quests, and the public instances are still the same as as you see in this video, However, The town of Bree was revamped after this video was recorded.. you can see what Bree looked like before they changed it. So glad I was able to capture this. To be able to look back at how it used to be is fun.

Anyway! Hope you enjoy the series!

Part 1: Includes run through Bree Town, Pre-Revamp & 3 Repeatable quests

Part 2: Covers remaining daily quests.

You can find more videos of the “Into The Wild” video series here at my blog  >>Click Here<<

Thanks for visiting and watching my videos, and if you could, please click that like and subscribe button at YouTube, its the best way to show your support.

Lotro: Evendim Slayer Deed Guide, Episode 4

Before I make these posts, I always hit-up Google to find some Lore on the region involved with the video guides I create, to learn more about the world that Tolkien created. So I figured why not include links to the sites in my Blog post so that others can take a moment to learn more as well. For me this information enhances my immersion while im playing the game. So look for the highlighted text in my posts, yellow highlight indicates sources from outside the game, Orange indicates in game information. Plain red text hyperlinks go to off topic sites.

Map_-_Evendim

Our adventure today takes us to The Hills of Evendim, or Emyn Uial in Sindarin, a series of hills in northern Eriador. To find your way in game, head to the north-eastern part of the shire, and you will find a path leading to Oatbarton, the 1st populated area in Evendim. From there you will follow the road north till you come to where Lake Evendim drains into the Brandywine River, cross and stay north till you get to the crossroads in Parth Aduial, Then turn left to get to Tinnudir, on a small island in the eastern most part of Lake Evendim, from there, Elahndria will show you the way… Hope you enjoy the video!

Evendim Giant Slayer: Emyn Uial, Northern Evendim

A tribe of Stone-giants appears to have taken up residence in the western hills above Evendim. While not so great in stature as their legendary cousins in Misty Mountains, they are nevertheless powerful opponents when aroused and more than a match for any lone soldier. No-one seems to know where the allegiance of the giants lies — indeed, it seems likely that they serve none but themselves, given their capricious nature. Nevertheless, should these lands fall to the Enemy, the giants would doubtless be pressed into his service as terrible soldiers. ( https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Giant-slayer_(Evendim) )

You have taken the measure of the Stone-giants of Evendim — and they are quite tall. You had always imagined that something so large could not possibly move very fast, but you have been disabused of that notion quickly enough. The approach of a giant is often heralded by a boulder tumbling out of the mist towards a hapless traveller, or by the thunderous splintering of a shattered tree idly crushed by the creature’s passage. The passing of a giant, however, is universally defined by the momentous thud of its lifeless body crashing to the earth as you complete your handiwork.
